This week in class we continued to talk about issues surrounding population. We watched "World in the Balance" and learned about factors affecting population including population campaigns. We also learned about Demography and the Demographic Transition Model while working on a population doubling-rate activity.

Cultural Diffusion: The spreading out of a culture and/or its traits from a central location
Immigration: The act of moving into a country
Emigration: The act of moving out of a country
Push Factor: Reasons that people leave or stay away from an area or country
Pull Factor: Reasons that people move to or are attracted to an area or country
