This week in class, once Mr. Martinez returned, we took our second vocabulary quiz and then jumped right into our next part of Unit 1; migration. We learned about emigration vs. immigration and then we started looking at population pyramids and population issues around the globe.
Week #3 Vocabulary:
Scale: Tells user about the size of the map in relation to the size of the real world.
Compass Rose: Directional indicator that tells where cardinal directions lie on a map.
Absolute Location: Exact position of a place on the globe using latitude and longitude.
Relative Location: Where things are located in relation to other places.
Migration: Movement of people.
