This week in class, we really got in to mining data to develop ideas and help us write. We focused the majority of the week on the World Affairs Manual in an effort to help prepare us for our first Unit Assessment (Project) next week.
Week #5 Vocabulary:
Population Growth: The change in the size of a population over time.
Assimilation: The act of adopting another culture; fully becoming a part of a different society or country.
Demographics: Descriptors of populations (ie. Ethnicity and religion).
Literacy Rate: Ratio between ability to read and number of adults in a specified population.
Urbanization: The process by which towns are formed and grow.
