This week we returned from a very restful Spring Break (hopefully), ready to jump right into our Unit 2 Project Presentations. We spent the majority of this week preparing and presenting, then we took a little time to debrief and prepare for our third and final unit on conflict and cooperation.
Week #12 Vocabulary:
Development Index: A composite statistic of life expectancy, education, and income indices used to rank countries into four tiers of human development.
GDP: (Gross Domestic Product) The dollar value of all goods and services produced within a countries’ border in a given year.
GDP Per Capita: the productivity of each person; it is calculated by taking GDP and dividing it by the population.
Comparative Advantage: The ability to produce a product most efficiently given all the other products that could be produced.
Absolute Advantage: The ability to produce more of a given product using a given amount of resources.
